We are delighted to have been awarded £1.2m from the Propel funding collaboration as part of London’s #NewDealforYoungPeople (NDYP). This funding will enable us to provide mentoring support to 200 children and young people across London over the next two years.
As a charity that supports children, young people and families to develop social and emotional skills, we know our work has never been more needed.
Chance UK Chief Executive, Geethika Jayatilaka said:
“This funding is a game changer for us and comes at a time when Chance UK is seeing an increasing need for support, especially for vulnerable children and families.
As our children and young people face even more pressures due to the impact of Covid and the cost of the living crisis, this funding will allow us to support many more children to realise their potential and thrive in a changing world. We know that our work can truly change lives and we thank Propel and the Mayor of London for their support.”
The Propel initiative, is a long-term funding collaboration that gives the capital’s civil society and communities the flexibility, trust and capacity to make long-term, systemic change in London.
